Laura & Jalen - Ashley Farms - Yorkville, Illinois - Wedding

When the first picture we took, was the dress hanging on the house… we knew it was going to be a good day.
What a beautiful November day these two had! We couldn’t believe that it was almost 50 degrees that late in November. It was beautiful. Laura and Jalen planned the best day. Their ceremony was scheduled for right after sunset, in a romantically lit barn. In photographer speak, it was golden.
We caught the last few specks of sunlight for some golden hour photos, and ran straight into the ceremony.
Everything was perfect.
My favorite part of the day, was when Laura was writing her vows while simultaneously rapping to “All I Do Is Win”. It was the best.

Johnson Family

This was by far one of my most favorite fall family sessions last year!
The Johnson family pulled up in their fall outfits and sweet little Claire was r e a d y for the camera. READY for it.
Some of my most favorite pictures came out of this session so you have probably seen them a lot already!
This full gallery was packed full of beautiful images.

Emily & Penelope - Greenhouse Mini

I had to WORK for Penelope to even crack a smile my way. Which I get, its been a weird time. I was probably the first person shes seen besides family in weeks. But MAN once we got her smiling she didnt stop!

Her favorite thing was to run down the aisles and smell the flowers. I have said it once, and ill say it again. I will be doing these next year… they were so fun and all of them turned out so beautiful!

Kasey & Jim - Family Session

I literally squealed the day of Kasey and Jim’s family session, because it snowed! I never dreamed I would love a snow session as much as theirs… Taltree was the perfect location too! It was very hard to stop snapping at the end of their session. It was beautiful! <3

Autumn & Jim - Lifestyle Session

I LOVE when a couple contacts me and says "we want to just cuddle in our home and have you document it. Is that something you do"? UM HECK YA! I already love you!
Being in your own home, you are more relaxed and its a familiar area. It makes things SO much easier.
These two were so fun. We just talked and laughed. Jim made fun of us for wanting to sit on the floor and drink coffee. It was just a fun morning <3
I need more of these sessions in my life.

Ryan & Amanda - July 14th - Schererville

Amanda & Ryan had the most beautiful day for a wedding. It wasn't melting hot, tears were shed, and two love birds now get to spend the rest of their lives together. I enjoyed their day so much. These two vibed so well their bridal portraits were a breeze! I just couldn't stop!
The best part of the day was when Amanda just picked up her dress, and ran. Which prompted Ryan to just run after her and wrap his arms around her. Hands down the best portrait ever. I knew that it was something special.

Nina & Greg - June 3rd - Crown Point Courthouse & Lighthouse Restaurant

Oh Nina & Greg. What a fun day we had. They have a very unique personality. BOTH OF THEM! HAH!

Nina was nervous while getting ready. She held it together and handled the problems with the limo like a champ. She just rode with her photographers!
The ceremony was beautiful and I know that she breathed a sigh of relief after and the party began!
So many laughs were shared and it was a beautiful, but hot June day.

Ashlee & Donald - Engagement - Chicago

When your best friend is getting married, you go to Chicago for the day. My birthday this year was spent taking Ashlee & Donald's engagement photos in Chicago. Let me tell you, it was a bright beautiful day with lots of giggles from Ashlee and I and complaints from Donald. Photographing your best friend always comes with perks like when you tell them to stand in the middle of a crowded side walk, she just says OK, and doesn't give you a funny look. We spent 4 hours taking ubers and walking around the city. It for sure was one of the best birthdays I have had in a long time. :)

Lindsay & Greg - Friendship Gardens I Michgian City

This wedding pulled at my heart strings a bit. Upon arriving, Lindsay informed me her grandma was sick and she wasn't sure if she'd make it to the ceremony. Having lost my grandma just a few years ago, I knew what it meant for Lindsay to have her grandma there. Yet the mood was still upbeat and we made the most of it while getting ready. 20 minutes before the ceremony we got word grandma would make it to the ceremony. We did have to wait on the ceremony for an extra 30 minutes but it was the worth the wait. So many emotions surrounded people throughout the day. I have to say it will be one of my most favorite wedding's of 2016. Even down to Lindsay dancing with her grandpa at the reception. It was pure bliss. Thank you Lindsay and Greg for having me as your wedding photographer.

Emily - Senior

When meeting Emily, I knew she was the shy type. Totally my type. I love those kids. I speak that language. I was the shy, awkward kid in high school. So I love getting these seniors. I give them the best experience I can, so hopefully by the end of their session, they have opened up and had a good time. That is my goal. Emily plays some instruments. I always encourage my seniors to bring something that is special to them. Emily rocked her session. Shes an intelligent, and beautiful girl. I wish many great things for her! I know shes going to kill the whole "adult life" thing!

Baby Blasie Arrival

I love this family. Love is an understatement. This would be my fourth session with this amazing family. We finally go these pictures in, and I could not be happier with them. I know Mila and Emerson love their new baby brother. And while baby brother was taking a nap, we played on mommy and daddy's bed!! I swear, Mila is going to be America's Next Top Model. For Real. Just look at this little girl! I can't wait to see this beautiful family again soon!

Tami & Joe

Oh Tami & Joe. I met these two beautiful people last year at their wedding, which I photographed! :) They are super special, and I love that they have stuck with me. Which is *why* I love being a wedding photographer. I form those special bonds with my bride and grooms. Its amazing.

I was so excited when Tami contacted me to tell me they were expecting! They drove all the way from Chicago for a maternity session. Upon arriving Tami tells me Joe forgot his shoes!! (Insert laughing, crying faces) He had on those slip on shoes!! Oh goodness. I laughed so hard. It was a very chill October day, for sure one of the colder days we had in October. It was very gloomy, but still so beautiful!
I cant wait to meet their little girl here soon!!

Anna & Tony

Anna & Tony's engagement session was one of a kind! We had to reschedule once due to rain, and these locations weren't what we had planned to begin with, but I gotta say, it worked out much better than what we originally planned!! The Lincoln Park Conservatory is a beautiful location. Shooting in downtown Chicago is one of my favorite places, you find hidden gems everywhere. I had to share these :)
I cant wait for their September wedding!

Jessica & Justin

I have been waiting to blog these images. Everything about this wedding was perfect. I met Jessica & Justin at Courtney & Tyler's wedding in July and instantly knew these guys were going to give me a wedding I couldn't forget. Let me tell you. They didn't disappoint. From the start of the day, I felt at home. This group took me and Liz in as their own and made us feel like we were a part of their family. Just days before the wedding, a deadly tornado ripped through this small community. Thankfully the venue was unharmed along with their homes. The sun was shinning and surrounding everything love was present.
I really wish I could explain the feeling I get when looking at these images. Best wedding gallery to date <3 Thank you guys for trusting me with your special day. And giving me the opportunity to be featured with The Wedding Day Magazine!

Sam & Nicole

Sam & Nicole. Two people I have known for some time. Growing up in a small town, you tend to go to school with some people from Kindergarten to high school. These two have been inseparable since middle school. Always together it seemed. They were the sweetest people in high school, and still two of the sweetest couples I have photographed to date. I am so elated they chose me to capture their special day. These two had both Liz & I, completely in tears when they decided to exchanged their notes and gifts before the ceremony. I couldn't contain myself. The love that they share is something special. Something I don't see every day. I hope they continue with that happiness for as long as they are together. That kind of love is hard to find. Thank you both so much <3

Ron & Ashlee

Everything about this wedding was perfect. The details. Oh my gosh, the details. I am a details fanatic. Ashlee & Ron were already married, but still wanted to throw a party for all their friends and family. I think they did a good job at that. I have not had so much fun at a reception. Those people knew how to party. All the cowboys, line dancing and beer drinking you could think of happened at their wedding. It. was. amazing. The Red Barn Experience in Laporte is the best place for a country like theme! Its beautiful!
