Bridgette & Danny - Engagement

I am MISSING the beautiful golden fall sunsets right now… I know around that time of year I dont take time to appreciate it. Its wake up, edit, do laundry, edit more, go to a session, come home and edit some more and bed. So when its cold out, like how it is today, I take a little time to reminisce…

This was one of my first sessions at this location. and if you’re like me and like weeds… like crawling into weeds for the perfect picture. THIS PLACE IS FOR YOU. SO beautiful.

I loveeeee these guys. Its been amazing to see them almost every year for the last couple of years!
Their sweet family just keeps growing! This takes me back to amazing weather and beautiful fall sunsets.
I miss it… as its 25 degrees and there is snow on the ground.

Margaret & Rory

When your oldest, and longest best friend asks you for a special session.. you dont say no..
I was GAME for this when it was brought up. Its such a special bond between mother and child. I am so excited I was able to capture these memories. Rory is just the sweetest little boy and its been just amazing to capture all of this milestones

Sam & Patrick - The Well at Thornton Distilling Company - Thornton, IL

Sam & Patrick were the besttttttt. Sam messaged me about a month or so before their wedding and just hoped that I was available. I was SO happy I was available.
This was one of the best. The best thing to come out of covid, small intimate weddings.
Sam had EVERYTHING planned. Down to the cookies of their sweet animals!
It rained, but we made the best of it. Good luck ya know ;) Cant wait to see them again in November!

Daniel - Baptism

I love when my couples stick with me, to capture their lifetime memories. I remember these two when they got married… it was a HOT day. HOT HOT HOT. Im so glad they got a beautiful day for their sweet sons baptism. Its for sure one of my favorite baptisms. Super special ceremony for special people! <3

Ali & Andrew - Vintage Oak Banquet Barn - Delphi, Indiana

I met Ali & Andrew in Chicago last January and we had a blast!!! I was so thankful that they hired me for their July wedding! Vintage Oak Barn is the best venue and I was so excited to get back!
I was there when it was super cold, and now I was there when it was SUPER hot. Gosh. I dont think I have stopped sweating yet.
Im so glad everything worked out with their plans and they still had the day they planned!!

Jonah - Smash Cake

Hands down… favorite smash cake. 2020 has been a crappy year but its really pushed my creativity and set the bar high for awesome sessions like this! Jessica & Adam were a past couple of mine and already are celebrating this little chunks first birthday! This sweet baseball themed smash cake was SO fun.
It started to rain about 10 mixtures before we were done with the session, but the sky did some pretty cool things afterward.

Ashley & Paul - Engagement

Ashley & Paul were set to be married in June, but their date got pushed back until August!. Which is fine, since we had more time to plan for their engagement session!
I havent stepped foot into Johnsons Farm Greenhouse in many years, but it hasn’t changed. Its still SO big and SO beautiful. The hanging baskets are my favorite for sure.
I loved getting to know these two and am anxiously awaiting their new wedding date in August! <3

Reeb Family

The Reeb family is near and dear to my heart. I got to know Bridget and Tom at all of our mutual Sandy Pines weddings over the last couple of years. They. are. the sweetest!
Bridget and Tom were also our DJ’s for our wedding last May. Everyone had such a good time and complimented me for days on how awesome our DJ’s were! If I could relive that night over and over again I would. <3
I loved finally getting to meet their boys! They have such awesome personalities and they are just like their parents.

Welbourne Family - Beach Session

Beach sessions are. my. jam. - this was one of the last ones I had last year. The sunlight was the best I have ever seen. The water was super calm. it was just a great night. I am looking forward to getting back to the beach soon!

Liliya & Ryan - Maternity

Back in January I had a sweet sweet maternity session for some long time clients. It had been a few years since I have seen them. It was the greatest surprise ever when Liliya messaged me and said they were expecting. What a great day it was for their pictures. <3
I enjoyed catching up with them and talking about the new addition that was going to making her appearance.

Emily & Dan - Merrillville, Indiana

Wedding season would not have been complete without these two. What an AMAZING day they had!
The rain put a small damper on the day, but didnt last long at all.
This was the first time I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding in this beautiful Greek Orthodox Cathedral. - I mean.. look at it!!
It was a pretty unique ceremony, nothing I have ever photographed before. These are some of my favorite ceremony images.. The cloudy day really made those stained glass windows pop.

Navarro Family - Beach Session

Its been a hot minute since I have seen this adorable family! Since, they have added a new addition!
They were my first beach session of the season <3 I loved it so much!
The light was perfect. The family was perfect.

Brooke - Birth Story

Oh. My. Gosh.

I am still in shock and awe of this woman. When I met Brooke, it was like I knew her forever. Capturing these images for her and Adam. Made my heart swell.
When she called me and told me she was going in that evening to get induced, to sit tight and be ready I was EXCITED. I was three days out from my wedding and just super excited to capture these memories.

Things went well for them that evening, I didnt sleep a wink. We had a pretty nasty storm go through that evening and I was hoping I wouldn’t have to drive through it LOL.

6am, Brooke text me and said they were going to get rolling, so I headed up to the hospital. It was a long day. They broke her water and we started things!

I cant even tell you how amazing this experience was. The images don’t do this process justice… If I could make this my full time gig I would. This was incredible. Its amazing what a woman body can do.

Hayley & Matthew - October 20th - Vintage Oakes Banquet Barn

Hayley & Matthew, the coldest, windiest, fall wedding I have had to date.
And by cold, I mean cold.

Their beautiful ceremony had to be moved indoors due to the high winds, but it couldn’t have been more perfect. Having some of their guests looking down from the balcony was just beautiful.
I loved every bit of their day.
They even braved the cold for just a hint of golden hour that decided to pop by for a visit.

Jessica & Dixie - Trash the dress

When Jessica booked her wedding with me last year, she made sure I knew that she wanted a “trash the dress” session with her horse Dixie. Who was I to deny her that!
Seriously one of my favorite sessions this year… hands down. <3

Horst Family - Lifestyle Newborn

Its not a secret I don’t get a lot of newborn sessions, so you can understand my excitement when Katy contacted me. I am just IN LOVE with their little family. Sam the puppy really got in on it too. He’s very protective over his little sister. <3 <3 I need more of these. My heart cant handle the cuteness.

Albert & Kyrstin - One Year Anniversary

Kyrstin contacted me asking about one year anniversary pictures and I was SO EXCITED!! Its no secret I love working with couples, even couples that I haven’t photographed before.
The morning of our session the sun was just beautiful. I don’t normally do a lot of morning sessions but I was happy we did with this one. The wind was a challenge but the soft tones of the sun was incredible. I just love these images <3

Sarah & Dayton - August 4th - Wedding - Chesterton

When I met Sarah & Dayton last year for their engagement photos, they were just a fun loving couple who liked to laugh. I knew INSTANTLY that their wedding day was going to be enjoyable. They did not disappoint. Everything about their day was perfect and even though we missed golden hour photos, they still let me pull them out for more photos during their reception.
I love these images. I am a sucker for a beautiful church ceremony! <3
