Kelli & Jordan - The Pavilion at Sandy Pines, Demotte, Indiana - Wedding

One of my favorite weddings to date! Kelli & Jordan already had a small celebration with just family before this.. if my memory serves me right, on a beach in Hawaii! But they still wanted to celebrate with the rest of their friends and family.
Sandy Pines is a forever favorite venue. The atmosphere, the people who work there, and the grounds are all amazing.
Every wedding last year made me love detail photos more and more. If thats possible. Im obsessed.

Paige & John - Engagement Session

Okay, engagement sessions are low key some of my favorites… I love getting to know my couples ill be working with later in the year or even a year from now. You get to feel more comfortable with the posing and learn more about me. I even feel more comfortable arriving on your wedding day, knowing you and having already seen your face.
Paige & John are getting married at one of my favorite favorite FAVORITE venues in NWI this May and their engagement session last year was one for the books.
The clouds rolled in right before their session and I was like “aw man” then the sun came out halfway through and they got to see me do some weird happy dance thing.
Their chemistry was off the charts and I cant wait for golden hour on their wedding day. Its going to be STUNNING.

Alarie & Pete - Valparaiso, Indiana - Wedding

When Alarie & I talked on the phone before they booked with me, I felt like I was talking to a long lost friend from high school. The conversation flowed so easily I knew right then if I didnt book their wedding I would cry and this would be the one that got away.
Their day did not disappoint. They kept things small, intimate and made sure it was a day they could look back on and be happy with. Just their family and close friends. The people who matter most. <3
It was one for the books. I loved everything about their day.
Thank you Alarie & Peter for including me in your day. It meant so much.

Ashley & Jim - Four Corners Winery, Valparaiso, Indiana - Wedding

I have never been so happy for a planner to recommend me to a couple before.. until Ashley & Jim. Ashley & Jim were SUCH a fun couple. I would love to go get margs with them any day. Their day was a beautiful August, hot day. Their vendor line up was on point - from their videographer, dj, hair & makeup and everything in between. I loved loved loved capturing their day.. The amount of photos that will be shared on this post - I will not apologize! It was one of my favorite days! <3

Brandt - Lifestyle Newborn

When your friend has a baby, you invade said friends space and make sure to capture all the sweet baby looks!
Baby Brandt is already 6 months by the time im blogging his newborn sesh, but thats how we roll around here.
Give me all the lifestyle newborn sessions.. they are my fave.

Ally & Rob - Chicago Engagement Session

Give me all the gloomy Chicago engagement sessions. I love Chicago when its sunny, I do… but when the clouds roll in those city tones are some special. I have seen these guys a few times at other weddings last year, so I was SUPER excited when they booked an engagement session with me :) These guys are already married since im so behind in posting sessions and weddings from last year… its still one of my favorites and needed to be shared still!! <3

Kayla & Roger - Engagement Session - Chicago

Chicago engagement sessions were in high demand last year. I was NOT complaining. I mean the drive kinda sucks some days (I hate, no, I LOATHE traffic). Kayla & Roger had their October wedding last year, those photos are to come, but wow. They ROCKED their e session. One of my favorites <3

Bridgette & Danny - The Pavilion at Sandy Pines - Wedding

We all know how much I love Sandy Pines, but Bridgette and Danny literally had the best day at Sandy Pines. The weather was perfect. We had a sunset… boy did we have a SUNSET.

Its always super special to watch a family member or friend marry a couple. It always seems like it means even that much more when its someone close to you. Bridgette’s aunt was one of the best family members I have seen get up in front of a crowd of people and deliver a powerful and heartfelt union.
What a great day. I am so happy for these two and I cant wait to see where they go in life!
These two are now drs, and living life as a married couple <3

Bre & Corey - The Market, Valparaiso Indiana - Wedding

Bre & Corey also were a covid reschedule, so I was looking forward to this day for longer than I care to admit. I loved loved loved finally getting to work with them. My friendship with Bre is literally one of my most favorite things about this job. I love gaining friends every year with some of my brides. Its what I strive for.
Anywho. Back to these two love birds. - their day was much anticipated and the love that surrounded it was incredible.
These guys were so happy to finally be married and become a family of three <3

Alli & Jeff - Illinois - Wedding

Alli & Jeff got to celebrate FINALLY with all their friends and family in May. I know they had one hack of a time trying to make sure they could have everyone they wanted there. Between venue changes, and everything else, they settled on a backyard reception. It was AMAZING. At one point, Jeff’s dad even said he wanted the party to be so loud and crazy that the cops got called. 27E sure did try and bring the house down.
It was just a fun day, filled with their friends and families love. It was truly evident in all aspects of their day.

Kaylin & Kevin - LaPorte, Indiana - Wedding

This March wedding - yes im still blogging sessions/weddings from March - we are busy over here.
Anywho - These two had such a beautiful day! For March it was still pretty warm AND they got a sunset!

Kevin is a natural at posing now. After an engagement session and soon to be some maternity photos!
But that will be a different blog post for a different day.

Their detail shots were some of my most favorites far this season.
The day was just so amazing. <3

Laura & Jalen - Ashley Farms - Yorkville, Illinois - Wedding

When the first picture we took, was the dress hanging on the house… we knew it was going to be a good day.
What a beautiful November day these two had! We couldn’t believe that it was almost 50 degrees that late in November. It was beautiful. Laura and Jalen planned the best day. Their ceremony was scheduled for right after sunset, in a romantically lit barn. In photographer speak, it was golden.
We caught the last few specks of sunlight for some golden hour photos, and ran straight into the ceremony.
Everything was perfect.
My favorite part of the day, was when Laura was writing her vows while simultaneously rapping to “All I Do Is Win”. It was the best.

Madalyn & Brandon - Aberdeen - Valparaiso, Indiana Wedding

One of my favorite weddings from Fall 2020! The COLORS that day…. oh my gooooodness! I also always have fun at Aberdeen, and the Inn! It's so beautiful and the picture opportunities are AMAZING.
These two were so excited to get married, especially after everything they went through with covid.

Its no secret I went ham crazy on the details! Mad and her sweet mom put so much time, money and effort into this day and it was so amazing to watch her eyes light up when she walked into the reception space.
It was so adorable. <3

Courtney & Zach - Lansing, Illinois - Wedding

Okay when you look at all of these pictures, there are a few more black and whites than I normally add into blogs but their day was so emotional and so beautiful it just worked.

We took their engagement photos on one of the coldest days, and their wedding day was pretty chilly too!
It was a beautiful, windy Saturday.
I also went overboard on the detail photos… but thats a common occurrence. Which is something to look forward to when I shoot your wedding right? wink, wink, nudge nudge

This was just a perfect day, and I love this sweet couple.

Johnson Family

This was by far one of my most favorite fall family sessions last year!
The Johnson family pulled up in their fall outfits and sweet little Claire was r e a d y for the camera. READY for it.
Some of my most favorite pictures came out of this session so you have probably seen them a lot already!
This full gallery was packed full of beautiful images.

Nicole & Eric - Chesterton, Indiana

Nicole & Eric wanted a small backyard wedding before covid was even thing! They just had their family and closest friends to spend their special day together. Their backyard, and their house are just beautiful!
I know they put so much work into their big day.

It was just a beautiful September day. <3

Bridgette & Danny - Engagement

I am MISSING the beautiful golden fall sunsets right now… I know around that time of year I dont take time to appreciate it. Its wake up, edit, do laundry, edit more, go to a session, come home and edit some more and bed. So when its cold out, like how it is today, I take a little time to reminisce…

This was one of my first sessions at this location. and if you’re like me and like weeds… like crawling into weeds for the perfect picture. THIS PLACE IS FOR YOU. SO beautiful.

I am just so excited to see these guys again here in just a few short months!

Ashley & Paul - Demotte, Indiana - Fair Oakes Farms

Ever since Ashley & Pauls engagement session I was DYING to see these two again. Another wedding, that covid almost ruined. Thankfully Ashley & Paul have some amazing family and friends who stepped up to help them have the wedding of their dreams still. It was SUCH a beautiful day. It was the best.
AND when Ashley’s dad gave her away at the end of the aisle there was not a dry eye sitting there… Her dad grabbed her by the arm and didn’t want to let go. I blubbered like a baby. So. Sweet.

McKenzie & Josh - One Year Session

McKenzie & Josh were an LEP couple back in 2019! They are very near and dear to my heart. Like the whole Sims’s clan.
When McKenzie reached out to me wanting to take pictures with Josh and their pup. By this time, they have already added a SECOND pup to their family unit. I need to connivence them to do another session soon… Sorry not sorry Josh..

Sam & Donnie - DeMotte Indiana - The Pavilion at Sandy Pines

Sam & Donnie had their engagement session just a few short weeks before their wedding and it was easily one of my favorites! It seemed like we got SUPER lucky at their wedding too with the sun!
And my favorite buddy Cole was able to take us to a few places around Sandy Pines I had never been to so it was even more extra special!
Oh these two. They had the best day and I am so happy that fate had other plans for them. I know it wasn't easy planning three weddings. Yes. Three. Weddings. But due to covid they had to make other plans. Third times a charm and now they are living in marital bliss! <3
Cant wait to see these two again soon! Hopefully!
